SDI Media is looking for Music Lab Reviewer's for the following languages:

The Music Lab Reviewer is a music fan who is knowledgeable about current events in their native market, as well as the international market. S/he reads blogs, magazines and other forms of media in relation to music. The Music Lab Reviewer is also has a knack for creativity. S/he has sharp ear for sounds and s/he is able to express that in writing.

This position requires the candidate to perform revisions of creative writing content in order to assure that the text complies with the guidelines provided, it is appropriate for the market and it is compelling and appealing enough for its purpose. This also includes conducting research on the topic at hand and making necessary edits in a proprietary Content Management System.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• The ability to proof consistent, high-quality writing content

• Analyze music content and ensure music-related information listed is accurate by researching cultural relevant sources

• Research and resolve linguistic questions

• Complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner

• Able to apply client-specific protocols as needed and adhere to all special instructions

• Work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment

• Ability to work independently and as a team player

• Be proactive and communicate problems/issues/developments effectively to supervisor, peers, and/or internal staff as needed

• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be a native speaker, familiar with their culture and current events

• Must have attended grade school and high school in their native country

• Strong linguistic skills, preferably with experience in Translation / Localization / Editing / Proofreading / QA / interpretation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Up-to-date awareness of current and common technical language usage in the target language

• Excellent knowledge of multiple music genres (not limited to 1 or 2 genres). Music industry knowledge is a plus.

• Excellent awareness of music trending and charting in their own country

• Culturally savvy with a good sense of judgment on the appropriateness of content for the target country’s audience

• Excellent computer skills: Mac / iOS / OS / iPhone / iPad/ Excel and Word

• Familiar with streaming music using various platforms such as Pandora and iTunes

• Strong functional skills, tech savvy
