1. Public Relations Associate
Webzen America, Inc., a global leader in smartphone and online video games is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join its team as a Public Relations Associate. This is a full-time, entry-level position in El Segundo, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle media inquiries via phone and email in a timely fashion.
Draft press releases and maintain detailed PR documents.
Manage day-to-day contact with production and support teams to work on collaborative efforts.
Create promotional materials such as press kits.
Review and compile media coverage for management.
Organize and maintain media assets for all projects.
Take on other responsibilities as assigned.
Travel domestically as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Able to work under pressure and possess a detail-oriented approach to each assignment.
Passion for gaming.
PREFERRED SKILLS
PR Experience in gaming is a plus.
Command of additional languages is a plus (especially Korean, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese)

2. Copy Editor (English/Korean)
Webzen America, Inc., a global leader in smartphone and online video games is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join its team as a Copy Editor. This is a full-time, entry-level position in El Segundo, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Edit all editorial content related to games serviced by the Production team
Edit (for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and language-specific slang) all in-game text, web features and marketing copies to be coherent, entertaining, and free of errors
Test and proof integrated translations in alpha, beta, pre-launch game versions
Work closely with Production team members to ensure accuracy and integrity of translations
Localize and rewrite all translated game text to reflect current and local language, slang, phraseologies, and nuances, especially in the context of video games
Review, proof, and revise, as necessary, all game-related editorial content
Provide bug correction support pertaining to in-game text
Set up and update game term bases unique to each game
Work with in-house or external Localization Translators to ensure successful and on-time completion
Translate Korean text into English and English into Korean as necessary
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
Strong and fluent command of English/Korean grammar, punctuation rules, and style
Attention to details
Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience in gaming or translation industry is a plus
Familiarity with text heavy games is a plus
Command of additional languages is a plus (especially Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese)

3. Human Resources Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES
Office equipment management, including selecting, managing suppliers
Determine needs and/or procure all office supplies, equipment, and furniture
Parking and key control, including working with Landlord to manage office issues
Business travel coordination across the company and its headquarters
Organize office events such as annual workshop
Comprehensive HR function by handling all pre-hire staffing activities including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and delivering orientation to prospective and new employees
Complete HR functions by managing employee records, tracking vacations and holiday use
Maintain, review and update employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits
Coordinate workers’ compensation process, maintain documentation and follow-up with insurance carrier
Maintain office related insurance matters
Engage in trademark registration process
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Partner with Finance and Accounting team with office expenditures and employee benefits
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred and/or equivalent work experience
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in high pressure situations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook
PREFERRED SKILLS
1+ years of experience in office management preferred
Good working knowledge of California employment laws preferred
