Summary of Position
The Community Relations Specialist serves as an expert community resource on the health insurance options that are available for people of all ages and economic backgrounds; develops new markets and enhances the awareness of Fidelis Care New York products; identifies and establishes relationships with referral sources, marketing sites, and centers of influence to generate referrals; increases enrollment and improves retention; presents on all programs to senior level staff at the centers of influence. This position is primarily field-based, working with the Asian communities in the NYC area.
Responsibilities
-Coordinate and implement marketing outreach, trade shows, event staffing, provider sites, or similar activities to sustain or grow the business in assigned territory.
-Implement localized and targeted marketing and sales tactics best aligned to the needs of the specific location to build market share, product understanding, and strengthen the brand; ensure all presentations are in conformance with and aligned with Corporate standards.
-Increase awareness; present product and health information with a focus on the Exchange (NYS of Health) products, pertinent products and services offered through Fidelis Care New York; educate and inform the public, providers, hospitals, small business groups, education providers, colleges, brokers, members, community organizations, Navigators and Independent Provider Associates (IPA), Congressional Business Officers (CBO), Federal Business Officers (FBO), vendors, partners, faith-based communities, government agencies, politicians, centers of influence, all related organizations, and other influencers on preventive and quality care.
-Answer product and service questions; suggest features and benefits about the products and enrollment processes and procedures offered through Fidelis Care New York.
-Manage and develop relationships between the Brokers and Community Action Committees (CAC)
-Develop existing venues and locate new ones; identify audience and information needs
-Transcribe, format, input, and edit information or data to create letters, documents, spreadsheets, complete all necessary paperwork, documentation, and follow-up as required
-Maintain appropriate inventory levels of marketing collateral and resources to effectuate our grass-roots, network marketing strategy.
Preferred Skills/Experience
-High School Diploma, requied; Bachelor's Degree, preferred
-Prior experience in developing community relations and outreach experience, highly preferred
-Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese), required.
-Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekend, required
-Valid drivers license and own transportation, required
-Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds
