The Targeted-Promotion Specialist is responsible for creating, scheduling and maintaining the personalized promotion programs on a day to day basis and managing the customer targeting rules to deliver personalized deals through the website and/or other applicable marketing channels of Newegg. The daily duties include communicating with business partners to collect qualified promotional items or contents, working with data analyst to target customer groups based on customers interests, personalize the deals to fit each group or customer’s needs, set up the behavior configuration through the targeted campaign maintenance tool to dynamically deliver the personalized deal to each individual customer, managing each campaign’s schedules, locations, and channels, working with model researchers to create new targeted promotion logics to improve customer experience and engagement.
Promotion calendar creation and maintenance: closely communicate with product managers, merchandisers, and other marketing team members to collect and /or initiate qualified promotional themes, understand the promotion purpose, targeted audience, and launch time preference, create spreadsheet or internal communication tool to store and update all the promotion information;
Customer targeting management: work with data analyst to surface the targeted customer audience based on their behaviors and other customer data, group deals/offers based on each customer segment’s interest, and create suitable promotion theme based on the purpose of targeting;
Targeted campaigns setup: study and build the correlation between the product/ offer dynamics and the targeted customer groups to meet each individual’s needs, utilize the maintain tool to set up the configuration to dynamically deliver the personalized deals to those interested customers at the right location;
Creating new targeted marketing program and logics: work with data analyst to create new programs with automatic targeting or personalized logics to meet the multi-dimension of customer interests;
Targeted promotion launches: work with the promotion execution teams to create necessary content and/or banners to launch each promotion theme on time according to the planned calendar;
Promotion performance monitoring: define and provide reporting on success measures for all targeted campaigns driving increased conversion on executed campaigns;
New proposals: propose new ideas for customer targeting promotions and/or any other targeted marketing programs based on daily executions and performance monitoring
Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Business Administration / Economics or equivalent;
Deep understanding of the online transaction procedure and customer buying behaviors;
1+ year experience in online promotion planning, execution and management, or sales experience with an emphasis on the digital channels and platforms;
Good understanding on customer targeting, customer segmentation, digital personalization and CRM integration;
Strong ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders, both verbal and written;
Product knowledge focusing on computers and electronics is a plus;
Familiarity with digital marketing / online marketing knowledge is preferred
Experience in database marketing / digital personalization campaign is preferred
Detail oriented and results driven;
Strong customer-centric mindset;
Ability to organize and execute campaigns with excellent compliance with the time schedule;
Project management skills to co-ordinate sales, graphics, data research and actual promotion launches;
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in creating reports and analyzing data, particularly to assess campaign performance
Willingness and drive to seek out and learn new technologies, skills and marketing practices
Bilingual in English and Mandarin (Chinese) is preferred
