Produce Department Manager

Job Description

- Record all incidents of discard/loss in the dumping log without prejudice
- Maintain store appearance and product presentation to company standards
- Suggest changes to inventory and pricing
- Verify agricultural product deliveries for accuracy and quality
- Order product to meet customer requests and the company’s profit goals
- Schedule, supervise, train, evaluate and assign duties to department clerks
- Assist management team in meeting sales, stock losses, labor objectives, and margin goals- Manage labor costs and reduce losses due to shrink, damage and shoplifting
- Performance monthly inventory of sales floor and backroom
- Ensure that department employees work safely at all times
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Work with equipment like knives, pallet jack, dolly, wrapping machine and Toledo machine
- Perform other produce department assignments

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year

Job Qualification:

- Effective communication skills.

- Able to stand up for long period of time.

- Able to lift or move goods over 20ibs.

- 5+ years related work experience required.
