One of the leading women’s contemporary shoe companies in City of Industry for over 30 years, has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic,self-motivated, hardworking Production/ Designer Assistant. Our fast growing company, works with all the leading junior footwear and apparel companies all over the world.

As a Production/ Designer Assistant, you will work closely with Sales and Design Team to help assist in everyday tasks of creating, facilitating design details and samples from product development stages to production.

This opportunity involves maintaining deep understanding of current trends, research & interaction with sales reps, customers, and the end users. In addition, participation in activities that will increase understanding and working knowledge of market is obligatory.

Responsibilities

- Help facilitate w/ in house and private label brands
- Develop/ help create illustrations, sketches, CADS, or technical spec sheets
- Daily communication w/ manufacturers, factories, and partners
- Must be able to travel to domestic and overseas offices as needed
- Help facilitate and approve all stages of product development to pre-production
- Help facilitate and approve all fit/cut details, samples and pre-production samples
- Collaborate with team members, sales, and buyers
- Help oversee all tech packs
- Help research and develop to provide newness/innovation to our products.
- Responsible to collaboratively brainstorm & execute ideas for Trend presentation, customer visits, sales meetings, special projects, etc.

Qualifications

- College degree in fashion design or related field
- Experience in fashion design or related field
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English
- Proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator/ Microsoft office programs
- Multi tasking
- Ability to handle tight deadlines
- Presentation skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Capable to work in fast paced environment, handle multiple projects, and strict deadlines
- Legal to work in the United States
